Getting the most water out
- Turn the volume all the way up. Below about 90% the cone does not travel far enough to move a droplet, and the app will tell you so before it starts.
- Hold the phone with the speaker facing the floor. Gravity does half the work.
- Unplug headphones and disconnect Bluetooth speakers. Sound sent anywhere but the phone's own speaker dries nothing — the app checks this and says so.
- Wipe the grille with a dry cloth between cycles so the water you pushed out cannot run back in.
It still sounds muffled
Run one more cycle, then leave the phone somewhere dry and ventilated for a few hours. Sound that is still distorted a day later is a repair question rather than a tone question, and no app can fix it. Rice does not help and can push dust and starch into the openings.
My charging port is wet
Ejecta cannot help with that, and neither can any other sound app — there is no speaker in the port to push with. Leave the phone unplugged with the port facing down and let it air-dry. iOS will tell you when charging is safe again.
Restoring your purchase
Already bought Ejecta and don't see the power tools? Open the app, tap Power Eject or a locked tool, and choose Restore a purchase. It uses the Apple Account you bought with — including through Family Sharing.
About Ejecta
The 60-second cycle is free, with no trial and no time limit. Unlocking Power Eject, the speaker test and the tone generator is a single, one-time purchase — no subscription, no account, and no permissions of any kind.
