Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Yarna, a knitting and crochet companion app for iPhone and iPad, offered by Afig Aliyev ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Yarna you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past — the short version is honest: use the app for your craft, pay only through Apple, your work belongs to you.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Yarna on Apple devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
2. Your content
Projects, counters, charts, notes, and patterns you import remain yours. We claim no rights to them, and — as described in the Privacy Policy — they stay on your device and in your personal iCloud. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the patterns you import; respect designers' copyrights.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
- Yarna Full Access is available as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, or annual with a 7-day free trial) or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before any purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- All payments are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules — request them at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- The Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment for the current full feature set and future updates to it, for as long as Yarna is available on the App Store.
4. Fair expectations
Yarna is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable — your counts are saved instantly, and your data syncs through your own iCloud — but we cannot promise the app will be free of every defect, or that it will remain available forever. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Yarna in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
5. Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continuing to use Yarna after a change means you accept it. If you do not agree, stop using the app and, if you have a subscription, cancel it.
6. Termination
You can stop using Yarna at any time. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your ownership of your content, liability limits) survive termination.
7. Apple
Yarna is distributed through the Apple App Store, so a few things follow:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
- Maintenance and support are our responsibility, not Apple's. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for Yarna.
- If Yarna fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any remaining claims are our responsibility.
- Claims relating to the app — including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and third-party intellectual-property claims — are our responsibility, not Apple's.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
