Getting an accurate size
- Measure a ring that already fits. It beats measuring a finger every time. Lay it flat on the screen and grow the gold circle until it exactly fills the opening — you are matching the inside edge of the ring.
- Check Anella against a bank card. Tap "Check accuracy" and lay any bank card across the two lines. Every card in the world is the same size, so this tunes Anella to your exact display.
- Measure fingers warm, and late in the day. Fingers are thinner when cold and in the morning. Between two sizes, take the larger one: a ring is far easier to make smaller than bigger.
Anella says my screen isn't recognised
Anella knows the pixel density of every iPhone that runs iOS 17, but if it meets a display it does not have on file it will ask you to calibrate with a bank card rather than guess a millimeter. That is deliberate — a guessed size is worse than no size. The calibration takes about fifteen seconds and only has to be done once.
